AP: Alaska's largest newspaper endorses Obama →
What shocks me most is not that Alaska’s largest paper opposes their own governor for President, what shocks me is that this paper is apparently not familiar with traditional American idioms. ”After all is said and down?” What the hell is that?
Jump to about a third of the way through this to see the new SNL digital short, “Jam the Vote.” It’s quite possible I’ve never laughed so hard at a sketch that is essentially about vomiting.

Some of these seem a bit dated now (Planet Earth, for example), but it’s a list that makes me go, “Wow. I want to be friends with people with taste like this.” It also makes me want to quit my job and spend all day reading the books that I, of course, haven’t read. Yet.

Wayne Coyne from the Flaming Lips is easily one of my top 5 favorite people on this Earth. He’s a brilliant and talented musician and artist, and his band creates some of the best albums today. But he’s also just a completely genuine person. His philosophy on life is astounding. I recommend checking out their “Fearless Freaks” documentary, or reading this interview. ...

Oh joy. I have heard some number of recorded Phish concerts in my day, and describing them can be like describing a fine wine - the shows can be mezmorizing, haunting, even oaky. I can’t wait to see them first hand.
