Oh Sufjan…
It was sad reading Dave Eggers’ forward to Infiite Jest, where he compares the ambitiousness of the book to other projects, such as Sufjan Stevens’ 50 states project. If your keeping track, it’s apparently been four years since Illinois. Well, I hope you like goofy Sufjan side projects (And I do - the Christmas set and The Welcome Wagon are great), because here comes another one.
In 2007, Sufjan and a symphony and some performance artists put on his “The BQE,” based on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. This Fall, the project is coming to DVD. Here’s the trailer.
