Because this is what I think about… In (500) Days of Summer, Zooey Deschanel is supposedly from Shinnecock, Michigan. It’s a fictitious location (Shinnecock is a city in New York), but if it’s anonymizing a real city, I assume it’s another Indian name, probably beginning with an S sound. Could it be:
Saginaw, Michigan
Cheboygan, Michigan
Saugatuck, Michigan
I am going to assume Saugatuck, because it sounds the closest, and neighbors Holland. I’m probably right, right?
