Doug Funnie - “Bangin’ on a Trash Can (feat. Beebe Bluff)”

How I got turned on to Talking Heads and Michael Jackson at the age of 6.

Gotta love that banjo at 0:49.

My Morning Jacket, joined by Iron and Wine, covers George Harrison’s “Isn’t it a Pity?”
Night Two of MMJ’s three-day run at the Wiltern in LA. So amazing. (Thank you planetickets for the +1!)

This is the one. Shields comes out next Tuesday, but you can stream it now here.

Mark Ronson ft. Lily Allen - “Oh My God”

Dirty Projectors - “About to Die”

Bitte Orca was an incredible album, so much better than Dave Longstreth’s earlier work that I was afraid Swing Lo Magellan could not live up.

Thankfully it does. This is an incredible, and very listenable, experimental rock record.

The official release is July 10, but it has already found its way to the Internet.

David Byrne and St. Vincent - “Who”

David Byrne and Annie Clark just announced they are going on tour together. With a brass band.

Byrne: A lot of people, hearing a description of this project, assumed that it might be an artsy indulgence [Gee, Dave, like your Fatboy Slim collaboration?], but somehow it didn’t turn out that way. It’s a pop record.

Yes. Coming to LA 10/13.
